AI Feed Lens ("we," "our," or "us") provides a browser extension and associated web services to help users identify AI-generated patterns in LinkedIn posts. Your privacy is foundational to our engineering architecture.
We operate under a strict principle of data minimization: we only process the public post text necessary to compute writing metrics, and we never access, read, or store your private messages, contacts, or account credentials.
2. Information We Process
Depending on how you interact with AI Feed Lens, we process the following categories of data:
- Public LinkedIn Post Content: When the extension is active on a supported LinkedIn feed tab, visible public post body text is extracted by the client-side content script solely for the purpose of computing lexical variance, perplexity, and AI indicators. This text is processed ephemerally and is not permanently indexed against your personal identity.
- Account & Authentication Information: If you register an account, we collect your email address, hashed password, and account tier information to manage authentication, licensing, and scan quotas.
- Usage Telemetry: Aggregated, non-personally identifiable metrics such as total scans performed and error codes to maintain service reliability and API rate limiting.
3. What We Never Collect or Access
- Your LinkedIn login password, session cookies, or OAuth tokens.
- Your LinkedIn private direct messages, InMails, or connection requests.
- Your browsing history on websites other than active public LinkedIn tabs.
- Your keystrokes, form inputs, or unsubmitted draft text.
- Financial card numbers (all payments are handled directly by PCI-compliant payment gateways).
4. How We Use Information
We use processed data exclusively to:
- Deliver real-time in-feed AI post classification badges.
- Manage your account authentication and subscription tier.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and automated API scraping.
- Improve the statistical accuracy of our linguistic models.
5. Data Retention & Storage
Post text submitted for inference is processed in memory and discarded upon completion of the analysis. Account credentials and subscription metadata are retained for the lifetime of your account. You may request immediate account deletion and data erasure at any time.
